Good things take time. Sometimes I rely heavily on that little saying and this case is one of them. 😉
It only took weeks after learning we were pregnant before I put my Pinterest board to work for Lyric’s new room. You know this because it was a work in progress that I shared tidbits of and talked about all summer long. In between wedding season and making the most of those summer months, it took its time to come to fruition. I did finish before Harlow’s arrival though! And, in fact Lyric moved into her room months ago as soon as all the painting was done and her new bed was set up. Then I hit a road block when my big ol’ belly prevented me from getting my DIY shelving done all on my own safely and I had to source out help which was hard to find. Her light fixture was also back-ordered for two months – not a huge deal but you’ll see, it is too beautiful to have omitted in the reveal.
Alas, I’ve tackled another corner in our little home that I’m so very proud of. There were SO many DIYs in her new room, I’m not sure there isn’t a piece of furniture in it that did get some TLC. I’ll share all those details below, and perhaps I’ll remember to post the tutorials one day, too!
Lyric is a little girl who loves adventure and sees the world full of color. She is constantly opening our eyes to beauty and excitement in corners we would have otherwise ignored. I wanted to give her a corner of our home that is all her own, especially with a new sibling on the way. I wanted her room to inspire her adventurous side where she can let her imagination run wild and get a good nights rest after a busy day in her buzzing toddler life.
I was lucky to work with some amazing shops on this very special project and can’t say enough what a privilege it is to have one of a kind pieces it is in our home.
I hope you love it as much as we do. <3
