{Spooky Sips}

Welllll, it’s Halloween weekend (and our due date today!) but we’re still waiting on baby so to pass the time we mixed up a few spooky sips for mom and dad that aren’t trick-y at all to make. See what I did there? ha!

Davin is always concocting something new and unusual behind the bar, so I left it up to him and this is what he brewed up!

My recipe isn’t actually anything we cooked up because I had my favorite Brazillian Kiwi at Cactus Club on date night a few weeks ago and I’ve been requesting it at home on repeat (the virgin version, of course). But! Because we only had the ingredients for it, we made it a few times until we felt the ratios were just right, which means it is now our own recipe 😉 The great thing about this drinky-poo is it tastes just as amazing without alcohol as it does with.

I hope you’re having a great Halloween weekend so far. We took Lyric to the Fire Hall last night, dressed in her little witch costume, for their awesome little kids party and haunted house. It’s so fun seeing all of the kids in their costumes running around. On Monday we’ll take her trick-or-treating IF we’re not in the hospital. If we are, her Baba and Gido will take her out. She’s mastered saying “TRICKTREAT!” because she knows it means someone will hand over some candy and her little witches cackle is the cutest sounds! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays since having a little trickster around. This whole pregnancy I said I hoped Goblin H didn’t arrive on Halloween, but the more I think about it, I think it’d make every year even that much more fun. Plus, it would mean we would only have 1.5 days until we’d finally get to meet her, and that would just be the sweetest treat!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
