{Bye Bye Blue! Great Room Reno}

Well, I’ve finally reached the point of no return with our entry way, living room & dining room.  It’s been the same since we painted it before moving in way back in 2009 and I’ve had an itch to change it every few months for the last couple of YEARS but never did it. Don’t […]

Mom - Ooh! I really like the way it is now but I’m excited to see what you are going to do!

I used to be as ambitious as you are … wish I could get some of that back from wherever it went!

Love you lots,

Mom xoxo

{Baked Mustard Salmon Recipe}

I owe this recipe being one of my favorites to my brother-in-law, Dayton.  He shared it with me a few years ago and it’s still my favorite way to make salmon.  It packs a ton of flavor (if you eat it the way we do) and takes no time at all to bake in the […]

{DIY: Raised Perennial Garden}

Meet our back yard and the empty spot right smack in the middle of it where there used to sit a massive low-laying cedar bush.  When I say massive, I mean massive.  It took up the the entire dirt area in this picture plus an additional 2-3 feet on either side of it because the […]

{Backyard Fence Project: Part One}

This summer has been full of projects that have kept us a tad busier than we can keep up with and it seems that we have bitten off more than we can chew (like building the perennial garden, planting the garden, busy summer schedules and wedding season creeping up on us).  But we’re never ones […]

{Retail ‘Therapy’ At Its Finest: Target Makes Me Go Crazy}

You know that feeling when you have the best shopping trip ever and you leave the store feeling like everything is right in the world?  That was me on Saturday and I was in all my glory! When I heard that Target was coming to Canada, much less that FOUR Target’s were coming to Edmonton/Sherwood […]

Jaz - LISA, I AM CRAZY FOR TARGET TOO. I couldn’t believe it when I found out a bunch were opening in Edmonton, and I thought I was the only one so excited about it. I’ve been to the one at West Ed three times in the past week, but I’ve only bought one thing so far cause I am seriously having the hardest time choosing what I want! When you share a studio apartment you have to be extremely choosy with what you buy for space reasons! And I want it to be perfect <3

Lisa G. - I’m sure I’d be there all the time too if I lived closer to one! I’m sure whatever you choose to furnish and decorate with will turn out just perfectly. =) Can’t wait to see it one day!

Mom - This post doesn’t surprise me at all because both us loved shopping at Target, Pier 1, HomeSense and T.J. Maxx when we lived in Florida … for your followers who don’t already know it, T.J. Maxx is Winner’s American cousin.

Truth be told, generally speaking we love shopping even if it’s only window shopping.

I think I’m due for a Vegreville trip with a little retail therapy in Edmonton.

Love you
xoxo

Lisa G. - I remember that, haha. And we never ever went to K-Mart because the other stores were so much better…I feel that same boycott coming on for Wal-Mart now that Target’s in Canada! =)
