{Stove-Top Chicken Casserole}

There’s nothing better than a piping hot home-cooked meal on a cold winter day so I’m sharing the most coveted casserole recipe in our house this time of year.  Anyone that knows Davin knows that one of his favorite foods on this planet is Stove-Top stuffing.  I’m pretty sure he even prefers it over the […]

{Sundays are for Mediums}

Last Sunday I went to a ‘medium party’ that’ I’ve been talking about with my sister-in-law’s mom since last summer.  I’m not sure that’s the proper name, and you can’t call it a group reading because the sessions are one-on-one, but it’s the best I could come up with.  The Intuitive/Angel Reader, as she called […]

Mom - WOW!!!

January 16, 2014 - 10:10 pm

Alison - I don’t know how I missed reading this post previously! Very cool! I went to the Russian Tea Room and had my tarot cards and tea leaves read. I had a very similar experience – lots of very insightful comments! It’s true how you are already aware of most of the things they bring up, but it helps you to look at them a bit differently and perhaps more closely. I was also amazed by how many personal connections she made during my reading – especially about work, my relationships, and my family. I like to think that some people are just gifted with intuitiveness! Fun either way 🙂

{For The Love Of Juice!}

Davin and I are adding our names to list of the millions of people that watched the documentary Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead and went out and bought a juicer.  Because we did just that – we bought a juicer online using our Air Miles and now we can’t wait for it to come in […]

Seanna Macleod - YAY Juice! I love juicing and all of its benefits. I’ve been juicing a lot this last week and it makes me feel so good! I love Joe’s Mean Green juice! My other staple is carrot, orange, grapefruit with a bit of lemon. 🙂 Its like orange juice with a kick. Good Luck! and call me if you have questions 🙂

Mom - Good Luck!! I’m anxious to read about your successes with this and how well you like this particular machin.
Love you

Mom - What made you watch the movie? I just watched it too and it is inspiring! Now to find a juice that works well. What model is yours?

October 28, 2013 - 5:04 pm

Lisa G. - Thanks Seanna! I knew you’d be full of tips and great recipes! I can’t wait to try that one! =D

October 28, 2013 - 5:07 pm

Lisa G. - Mom, there’s a link to the juicer we picked in the blog post until it’s no longer on the Ebay Deals, then it’s the Ikon Juice Fountain from Breville. We haven’t got it in yet but we love all of our other Breville appliances so we’re expecting to be happy with this one too. We’ve watched other documentaries about food and such, but we’ve heard so much about this one we had to watch it, too. I’ll post more about it after we get the hang of it! =)

October 28, 2013 - 7:59 pm

Mom - Thanks Lisa, I may give this a try too!

November 8, 2013 - 2:53 pm

Lisa G. - yup! we love it so far!

November 16, 2013 - 6:48 am

Mom - I’m hoping Seanna and you will share your recipes. What are the different amounts you use for the carrots, oranges, grapefruit and lemon?

November 20, 2013 - 11:45 am

Lisa G. - Mom, did you buy a juicer? I’ll post some recipes we like a little later in the week. A good App we like for recipes is “Juice Me”.

November 23, 2013 - 5:40 am

Mom - Yup, I’ve got one too so please do share your recipes and let me know how much you like each one. Thanks xoxo

{DIY: Retrofit Architrave}

This little project is probably one of the most skiddish I’ll ever do, but it worked out just fine and I’m happy with the results which is all that matters!  It’s small upgrades like this one that you’re sometimes able to cheat on so let’s just keep that in mind throughout this tutorial. 😉 I […]

{2013 Summer Highlights}

I know I’ve been MIA for the last couple months, but I have a good excuse!  I have a lot of them actually.  We’ve had an a-m-a-z-i-n-g and jam-packed summer.  Although it came and left in no time, like I’m sure it did for most people, we still managed to take advantage of every minute […]

Mom - It’s nice to see you’re back on your blog! I’ve been checking everyday and I missed your posts. BUT I’ve got to tell you that your 80 year old Gramma is going to be aghast (is that how you spell it?) at the cheeky picture!

I love you!
