{DIY Mimosa Bar}

A few weekends ago I helped throw one of my besties a bridal shower. You might remember Seanna, one of the three more important things that I took with me from college. 😉

I was in charge of the mimosa bar and it was too good and too easy not to share! We planned the party around a classic vintage theme which was a piece of cake for me since I still have a plethora of vintage goodies from our wedding.

I hit up the dollar store and picked up glass pop-top bottles for the juice and miniature ones for the champagne – everything else I already had at home! It obviously isn’t mandatory to pour the champagne into anything other than leaving it in its original bottle, but I liked the idea of having more room on the table top. The mini champagne bottles were chilling underneath the table in a tub filled with ice, along with the extra bottles of juice and champagne. Each little bottle was good for about two mimosas and they kept their fizz just as long as the bottle would have once it was popped. And, let’s face it they were way too cute!

It was super hot on the day of Seanna’s shower and these hit the spot perfectly.

Here’s what you need to make your own vintage-themed mimosa bar:

  • A few different juice options {all of the juices I used paired really good with champagne!}
  • Champagne
  • Signs or labels for juice
  • Lots of fruit {such as pineapple, orange, strawberries, watermelon, limes, raspberries and peaches} for mixing and garnishing. As an added bonus, this variety looked like a little rainbow on the table!
  • One short shish-ka-bob skewer for each fruit bowl
  • Mason jars & striped straws
  • A tub filled with ice to chill extra juice and champagne
  • A few small vintage pieces or antiques for decor
  • A fun sign {there’s tons of ideas on Pinterest} I used an old barn door that I was using as decor in my backyard and a chalk pen to write on it
  • Depending on your table top you might want to use a table cloth. I had a black plastic table so I used Kraft wrapping paper from the dollar store

I had such a good day celebrating this beauty’s upcoming wedding day! Just over a month and she’ll be a married woman!
