{A Grand Adventure is About to Begin}

It’s our due date TODAY!  We are officially 40 weeks, and although I always figured this baby is way too comfortable to arrive early or even “on time” I’m getting extremely anxious for our bambino to finally decide to meet us!

Our nursery has been complete for a few months now, with the exception of one small finishing touch: a gold letter initial of baby’s first name that will hang above the glider.  I can’t wait to find out which letter it will be!

The white pine panelling along the walls is my favourite part, but the french style closet doors are a close second considering what a difference they make coming from bi-fold doors.  They make the closet so much bigger, it’s crazy how much more useable space there is.

This room turned out to be everything I had hoped for and more.  I’m so looking forward to spending time in it with our son or daughter.  The closet doors stayed white after all, and the pops of colour do their job perfectly in livening up the clean white walls.  It’s just what I envisioned.  Davin even says it’s his favourite room in the house which rocks my world. =)

Lindsay - hey there, was wondering where you got the drawers for the ikea bookshelf hack.
i just recently purchased an ikea bookshelf to make into a change table like this, but wanted to add drawers like you had!

Lisa G. - Absolutely! The storage unit we used is called the Kallax. They sell the drawer inserts, a cupboard-like insert as well as the baskets that fit it. Here’s the link for the drawers that we used. Depending what bookshelf you have, just make sure that these will fit it as well. Good Luck! http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/70286650/#/70286645
